transgender people live secret lives, not just in their relationships. They don't tell people in the workplace because they don't want to be fired or harassed. We still live in a society that doesn't accept transgender people, and people have to protect themselves, especially if they want to keep a job. The unemployment rate for transgender people is three times that of the general population because employers reject transgender people.
